Mosque of Sitara Begum
This majestic mosque, a perfect triumph of architectural
art, was two storied. The chambers of the lower story, which
were intended for the accommodation of students and learned men, were

into an English house, and was for a long time the residence of Mr. O.Welby,
the manager of the old Lahore Chronicle. It then became the property
of of some railway official, from whom it was purchased by Sultan, who,
however, demolished it for the sake of its bricks. The Mussalmans
maintain that Sultan subsequent misfortunes date from his destruction
of the house of God for he became reduced in circumstances and died soon
after.
